Jade Leggat-Smith

Jade has been expressing her love for fashion, beauty and the arts since an early age and has been painting for as long as she can remember. Her make-up art is an extension of painting for her, where the face becomes her canvas. Jade studied two separate courses. The first was in art directing and motion picture make-up and the second in fashion make-up and hairstyling.

Jade launched herself into the industry, landing her first job a week out of college. The first six years of her career she established a solid client base in Cape Town including beauty advertising campaigns for Nivea, Ponds, Yardley English Blazer, Sunsilk and TLC. Working on a regular basis for magazines like Elle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Glamour she develop a strong editorial style. During this time Jade worked on Advertising campaigns, TV commercials and print campaigns for clients that included VW, Levis, Vodaphone, Next, Johnnie Walker Black Label, TK Max, Lee Jeans, Wrangler Jeans, Habits, Woolworths, Truworths, Hang Ten and Edgars.

In 2010 Jade moved to London and over 7 years continued to build a strong client base, working on a regular bases with brands Adidas, Topman and Tom Ford to name a few. She is now back in Cape Town and looking forward to the next chapter.
